A Weekend of Gymnastics Excitement: Perfect10, MAG & WAG Trial and 2023 Annual Awards
Get ready for an exciting weekend in the world of gymnastics as Gymnastics South Africa announces three action-packed events taking place from March 21st to the 23rd.
On the 23rd of March, Gymnastics SA will host the annual Perfect10 showcase that will see gymnasts across various disciplines competing for a Perfect 10 score. “The Perfect10 is a team event consisting of gymnasts from all disciplines. This year we have a mix of senior gymnasts and up-and-coming younger gymnasts, who will compete for the Gymnastics SA Perfect10 team trophy,” explained Caron Henry, Event Manager for the Perfect 10 showcase.
“The celebrity judges for this year will be our Senior gymnasts in the four Olympic disciplines. Representing Men’s Artistic will be Muhammed K Mia, Rhythmic will be represented by Alina Galukhin, Trampoline will have Matthew Bosch as their representative and Women’s Artistic will be represented by Naveen Daries, with the proceedings being led by Caitlin Rooskrantz, as the MC,” added Henry.
“Matsport Centre will be a hive of activity from 21st-23rd March as the Women’s Artistic National Championships and African Champs trials, as well as the Men’s African Champs Trials will be taking place,” Henry added. “The times for the competitive programs will be available later this week. The National Champs, trials, and Perfect10 showcase are open to the public, and entrance is free.”
Following on after the Perfect10, Gymnastics SA will host the annual Gymnastics SA Sports Awards, celebrating the achievements of athletes, coaches, and officials from 2023.
